Five others wounded.
City of Brotherly Hate.
Yep, run by democrats for decades.
Top cop? Black.
Most of city council? Black.
The six men were on set at Carroll Street around 8.20pm when an unidentified shooter got out of a black car and opened fire on a group of at least 10 people gathered on a lawn.
A total of 10 shots were fired, one fatally wounding a 21-year-old man who was shot in the head. He was pronounced dead at 8.40pm by a paramedic at the scene.
Five others were injured and taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.
Three of those victims are listed as in critical condition including a 22-year-old man shot in the right leg and chest, a 22-year-old man shot in the neck and back, and a 23-year-old man shot in the head.
The other two victims – a 22-year-old man who was shot in the finger and a 24-year-old man shot in the left leg – are both listed as in stable condition.
One witness reported hearing nearly a dozen shots fired and said one of the victims appeared to be lifeless on the porch of a home on the same block, according to NBC10.
‘I looked outside all you just heard was my aunt scream. Then when I walked to the door it was three bodies — two bodies were laying on the middle steps and there was a body laying on the top steps. And they just weren’t moving,’ Chris Griffin said to ABC6.
Philadelphia Police Commissioner Richard Ross said the victims were about to film a hip-hop video when the shooting took place.
‘They were about to shoot a rap video when someone, a couple of people, came and shot one or more or persons,’ Ross said.
‘These all very young men. Sadly this is what we see over and over again, but you know hopefully we’ll get someone to step forward because these are the type of incidents where we do worry about retaliation.’
The tragic shooting took place just a few blocks from where six people were shot during a graduation party in June.
‘I still feel a little shaken up especially since that is somebody’s loved one and it was kids running out the block and you just decided to go and shoot no matter who was there,’ Griffin said.
Although, though no description of any suspects has been released, Ross says there is fear of possible retaliation.
