This is what you get.
Millenials who think they are owed everything.
Ho’prah heckled after commencement speech for not paying off debts of graduating students.
Just imagine being one of the students who worked hard, took part time jobs, got scholarships, worked all summer, etc. to pay off their tuition and then these fucks get a free pass.
I’d be pissed.
A better lesson would be for these guilty-conscienced billionaires to have waited 20 years, seen which students actually turned out to be worth a shit and paid their bills and THEN re-pay their loans….with interest.
The famed TV show host and philanthropist delivered a powerful speech to the graduating class of 571 students at Colorado College and handed out free copies of her book, The Path Made Clear.
But one follower said she should have ‘paid of their student debt’ instead of handing out books.
The interaction took place on Oprah’s Instagram photo posted Monday with the caption: ‘I don’t know who this guy is but he sure is happy to graduate! I shook hands with all 571 members of @coloradocollege’s Class of 2019 and gave them a copy of The Path Made Clear.’
Defending her record, Winfrey said that she’s been awarding scholarships to Morehouse students since 1989. According to the college, her gift total stands at $12million, making her one of the college’s top donors in its entire history.
It’s not clear why she wrote 13million, when her Morehouse contribution totaled 12million.
In the final episode of the Oprah Winfrey Show, some of then men she granted scholarships to surprised her by making a $300,000 contribution to Morehouse College to pay it forward after they pursued successful careers in finance, medicine, and law.
She also famously founded a school in South Africa for girls in grades eight through 12.
Winfrey’s followers were quick to defend her name and the impact of her work in education.
Winfrey was being compared to billionaire Robert Smith and his commencement address at Morehouse College, an all-male historically black college, in Atlanta also on Sunday.
