WHAT’S GOOD FOR THE GOOSE……

In Michigan a black republican is closing in on Stabenow. I think we need to turn the tables on liberals and the republican candidate should hold a press conference decrying the blatant racism of Michigan voters who are favoring a woman over a black man.

Pull the race card on their asses.

Give liberals a taste of their own medicine, so to speak.

Underdog Republican Senate candidate John James appears to be gaining momentum in Michigan, as the latest polls show the political newcomer cutting incumbent Democratic Sen. Debbie Stabenow’s once-comfortable lead in half.

James, an Iraq War veteran, is now trailing the incumbent by roughly 7 points, according to the latest Real Clear Politics average of polls.

The split is similar to the race in Texas, where Democrat Beto O’Rourke is trailing incumbent Republican Sen. Ted Cruz. Like O’Rourke, James remains the underdog.

But unlike in Texas, the polls in Michigan reflect a steady tightening. Stabenow, D-Mich., for months had led by double digits. As of mid-October, Stabenow was 16 points ahead of James, according to an MRG poll.

But an EPIC-MRA poll from late October showed Stabenow with just a 7-point lead, an Emerson poll showed her up 9 points and a new Mitchell Research & Communications poll showed the incumbent leading by 6 points.

“John James is giving 43-year politician Debbie Stabenow the fight of her political life and there is zero question she’ll be running scared these final days,” Tori Sachs, James’ campaign manager, told Fox News in a statement last week.

Much like Republicans in Texas, Democrats are taking the Michigan challenge seriously, with even former President Barack Obama visiting the state to campaign.

“I’m hopeful, Michigan,” Obama told a crowd of 5,000 last week in Michigan. “I’m hopeful that despite all the noise, despite all the lies, we’re going to come through all that. We’re going to remember who we are, who we’re called to be. I’m hopeful because out of this political darkness, I’m seeing a great awakening.”

James has seen support from prominent Republicans as well, with President Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., and Vice President Pence traveling to Michigan to make the rounds in the hopes of upsetting Stabenow’s chances for another term.

James is the first black Republican to run for statewide election in Michigan in four decades.

  1. Leonard Jones says:

In that particular race, Stabenow is benefiting from 4 Detroit News/WDIV TV polls
which are massively inflated. The same goes for Tina Smith in Minnesota. This
is another reason it has been so hard to make any sense of the polls. One glance
at either race will reveal a crapload of media polls. We may not be able to predict
the outcome of many of these races at all. We may have to wait for the results.

One word of warning, If any result is even close, it will be challenged by the Donks.
I would not be shocked to see a record number of never-ending recounts!
