THANK YOU, BOB! Apart from the obvious comments that come to mind,
my cousin’s husband works for American Honda in Torrance CA. I have to
hear all about how wonderful 1,800 V-twin Honda is, and he refers to my
97CI FSXT as a Canhardlyrun Davidson. I have been telling him for years
that oversquare engines in the old Jap-bikes made for good sewing machine
motors, but raw power is where it’s at!

I also asked him a simple question: If long stroke V-twins were so inferior,
why did every motorcycle manufacturer in Japan start marketing them?
A few weeks ago, I REALLY nailed him. I asked him in an E-mail message
if he could name the first motorcycle manufactured in Japan.

The answer was Harley Davidson and not the obscure post-war brand he
    cited.

Now, before I steal this image and send it to him with some wisecrack about
Hondas, I have to ask if she has an air-ride kit installed in her soft-tail?

Riding Japanese motorcycles is like fucking a fat chick. It may feel good
but you don’t want your friends to see you doing it!
