She explained why that was the case on Wednesday night, when she was one of the guests at a special Trump-roast edition of John Fugelsang’s comedy show ‘WTF Donny’ at Caroline’s in New York City.
‘This is the second time I’ve been in public since he’s been elected because I go to the mall sometimes and Trump people go, “Hey f*** you,”‘ O’Donnell told the audience according to Page Six.
She went on to say that the outbursts were not just directed at her either, but also her teenage daughter Vivienne.
‘The boys in public school in New Jersey said to my 14-year-old daughter the next day, “Tell your mom I’m gonna grab your p****.”
‘It has affected my entire life and my entire family for a tremendous amount of years – over a decade.’
Later in her set, O’Donnell turned her attention to Ivanka Trump, speaking about how difficult her life must be as her father’s favorite child.
‘The next time you or I want to make fun of Ivanka, I want you to carefully think — with compassion – about what . . . [she] had to do to survive,’ O’Donnell told the audience.
She then described Ivanka as the ‘chosen child’ of a ‘cult leader who has the power to fool a nation’ before stating: ‘It is not a fun, healthy or recoverable place to be.’
O’Donnell was joined at the event by an all-star lineup that included Frank Conniff, Travon Free, Judah Friedlander and Judy Gold.
There was also a visit from David Crosby, who O’Donnell got to hang with backstage.
Free posted a photo of himself and O’Donnell on Instragram after the roast with the caption: ‘Our smiles are sign language for f*** Donald Trump.’
This is not the first time that O’Donnell has spoken publicly about Ivanka, penning a poem about a chance encounter with her back in October at the Japanese eatery Nobu.
O’Donnell was at the expensive and exclusive outpost of the popular restaurant with rumored girlfriend Dana Schiff while Ivanka was with her husband Jared Kushner.
She wrote: ‘that is the most beautiful woman i have ever seen”i say aloud to dana / she turns to look – turns back at me “that’s ivanka.”‘
O’Donnell has been far more hostile on the subject of Ivanka’s father, going so far as to call for martial law in an attempt to prevent him from taking office.
In a series of tweets posted back in January, she called for the implementation of a military government and the suspension of all laws in the United States until Trump has been cleared of any role in the Russian hacking scandal.
‘I FULLY SUPPORT IMPOSING MARTIAL LAW – DELAYING THE INAUGURATION – UNTIL TRUMP IS “CLEARED” OF ALL CHARGES,’ wrote O’Donnell.
O’Donnell later pinned her tweet about martial law so it appeared at the top of her page, defending to one commenter why she feels this is what has to be done.
‘He cheated – and its not about hillary – its about delaying the swearing him in – til we investigate all charges,’ wrote O’Donnell.
A state of martial law has been declared less than 20 times in the history of the country, and almost always occurred in the aftermath of a major or war or natural disaster.
That same day O’Donnell also tweeted that Trump had mental problems and ‘sux.’
